With a creative journey spanning from early childhood to formal university training, Loretta's passion for learning has remained unwavering. Loretta brings a lifelong dedication to the art of creation and education.


Cassy Emerson


Artist | Entrepreneur

Dedicated supporter of CLAC. Cassy brings an extensive network within the local community, playing a crucial role in connecting CLAC with important stakeholders, making significant contributions to the organization's growth. Cassy's brings an impactful influence on community engagement.


Suzanne Woodward


Painter | Arts Advocate 

A lifelong resident of Vancouver Island, Suzanne is a hobby artist known for her proficiency in watercolor and acrylic painting. Her diverse exploration of various arts and crafts reflects her creative versatility, with a particular focus on capturing the beauty of nature and landscapes in her artwork.


Sharon Klein


Artist | Arts Advocate

In 2018, Sharon relocated from Victoria to Lake Cowichan and developed a deep appreciation for the area. 
Sharon loves painting in a variety of styles and educating others. She is proud to be a part of the Cowichan Lake and Culture Society, a key entity driving arts and culture initiatives in the local community.


Patrick Miller


Businessman | Community Advocate

Patrick brings a wealth of business acumen to the table, coupled with an in-depth understanding of the region and key personalities that wield influence. Known for brokering the mural on Pemberton Homes and facilitating the creation of the Arts Centre, his expertise extends to building and renovation projects. 


Sandra Mcafee


Accomplished Woodworker, Seamstress | Arts Advocate

Actively engaged in various community organizations, contributes significantly to the community's artistic vibrancy by organizing events, supporting local artists, and collaborating on diverse initiatives. Part of Youbou Haunted House and Youbou Community Association.


Rosemary Danaher


Accomplished Multi-Disciplinary Artist | Educator 

A versatile multi-disciplinary artist, Rosemary excels in various mediums such as clay (both hand building and wheel work), watercolors, acrylics, pearl and silver jewelry, hand-painted watering cans, and art cards. Additionally, she contributes to the local arts community by teaching pottery through the LC Art’s Council and is actively involved as a member of the Crofton Art Group, VISIONS, and the LC Art’s Council.


Irene Elliott


Professional Musician | Artist | Entrepreneur 

Irene is a seasoned session musician and artist. She is 
a serial entrepreneur who owns a marketing agency and consultancy. A recent transplant from Toronto, Ontario, Irene brings extensive expertise in marketing and business development and has worked with arts organization such as Harbourfront Centre and Wanuskewin Heritage Park
